When I found out Chameleon Labs was having another contest, I almost fell off my chair!

The amazing engineers at Chameleon Labs replicated a legendary British Preamp that we here at Bay Phoenix Studios

absolutely adore!

Although not yet privileged to play with the Chameleon Labs 7603 Mic Preamp, I have done extensive research to hear what it sounds like!

​

True to British standards, the 7603 has a warm silky color and richness mid and low-end harmonics.

​

Listening through a pair of Sennheiser HD 600 headphones. I was able to hear the minor adjustments quite clearly, and without a doubt, transition between EQ bands were extremely smooth, and the

High Pass Filter was nothing short of outstanding!

Not only does the 7603 sound just like the original, they actually did something most companies do not - improve the design!

​

The Chameleon Labs 7603  actually has a VU Meter!
